The situation

JWC Construction are a damp proofing and property repair specialist covering Glasgow, Lanarkshire, and Central Scotland. The business is owner-led, backed by over 40 years in the trade, and has a genuinely strong reputation offline, with a 9.97 out of 10 rating from more than 100 Checkatrade reviews.

The problem was that none of that came across online. Their web presence did not match the quality of the work or the strength of that reputation. They also already had a Google Business Profile, but no longer had access to it. It was tied to an old email account they could no longer get into, which left them locked out of the one listing customers actually see when they search.

What I did

This was a full rebuild of their online presence, not a single one-off job.

First, the Google Business Profile. The listing already existed, but the business was locked out of it, so I recovered access through the original email it had been set up under. That put the profile back in their hands so it could be managed properly and kept active for local damp proofing searches.

Alongside that, I built a brand new website focused on the work they actually do: damp proofing, mould, rot, and property repairs across Glasgow and Lanarkshire. The priority was a fast, clear site that makes it obvious what they do, where they cover, and how to book a survey, and that backs up their Checkatrade reputation instead of undercutting it.

To start bringing in enquiries quickly, I also set up Local Service Ads. These put JWC at the very top of Google with the verified badge and a pay-per-lead model that suits a local trade.

What’s next

With the profile recovered, the website live, and Local Service Ads running, JWC are moving onto an ongoing local SEO plan. The aim is to build their organic visibility for damp proofing and property repair searches across Glasgow, Lanarkshire, and Central Scotland, so the leads keep coming without relying on ads alone.
