Information needed to set up your profile
Google has standard requirements for any new Business Profile. Here is what to have ready when we start. None of it is unusual; it is the same list Google would ask you for if you set the profile up yourself.
- Business name exactly as it appears legally (no keyword-stuffing).
- Address if you have a public premises, or service area postcodes if you visit customers.
- Primary phone number (the one you actually answer).
- Primary category (the single best fit for what you do). I help you pick if you are unsure.
- Opening hours, including any special hours (bank holidays, seasonal).
- Photos: logo, cover photo, and a handful of work or premises photos. Real photos beat stock every time.
- Website URL if you have one (not required, but linked when present).
- Verification preference: postcard to your address (most common), or video / phone where Google offers it for your trade.
If anything on that list is missing or you are not sure, say so when you get in touch. The most common holdup is not having decent photos ready; that is fixable but worth knowing about upfront.
