Mental Health Warriors

The situation

Mental Health Warriors are a registered Scottish charity based in Kirkcaldy, Fife, supporting young people across Scotland with their mental health and wellbeing. They run clubs and groups, one-to-one listening support, events, and respite for families, all built around a simple idea: real support, safe spaces, and somewhere young people can be themselves.

I have hosted their site for over a year. In that time the charity grew, became officially registered, and sharpened how it talks about what it does. The old site no longer reflected any of that. It is a cause I am glad to support, so when they were ready to relaunch, I rebuilt the site to match where the charity is now.

What I did

This was a full redesign focused on the people the charity is actually for: young people and the families around them. The priority was warmth and clarity. Someone arriving in a difficult moment should be able to find support, see what is on, and reach out without any friction.

The new website puts their message front and centre, your space, your voice, your community, alongside the three values the charity is built on: Heart, Strength, and Mind. From there it is easy to find a club, read about the support on offer, or get in touch. The design is calm and uncluttered, mobile first, and quick to load, which matters when most visitors arrive on a phone.

What’s next

The site stays on an ongoing hosting and care plan, so it is kept secure, backed up, and updated as the charity adds new clubs, events, and information. As Mental Health Warriors keeps growing, the website can grow with it.
